Over the years the figure of the condominium administrator has undergone several changes. At first they were improvised administrators such as retired people who took it upon themselves to administer the building in which they lived.

The second generation of administrators sees people who take this role on as a second job. As condo administration was not a recognised “profession” they could reconcile both jobs effortlessly.

This broad term refers to such services as assisted living, adult day care, long term care, nursing homes (often referred to as residential care), hospice care, and home care.

The latest generation of Condo administrators is represented by people who practice this profession exclusively and the role had grown requiring more expertise and attention and dedication than a part-timer could give.
